The High Post

"Every morning we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better.”
I love traveling and visiting new places. I often take weekend trips to places nearby and stay in hotels. I also enjoy writing which is the main reason why I joined journalism. My writing is usually very opinionated. I like to be straightforward about things and not beat around the bush like a lot of other people do. This is my second year taking journalism. Last year when I first joined it seemed really easy. Later on in the year though it turned out to be not what I expected. There is a lot more time and work put into it than people realize. After distributing papers in the morning I’ll go back to my homeroom to see that the recycling bin is filled with the newspapers. All these people who don’t read it and just throw away don’t realize how much hard work goes into the process. Although it is a lot of work and very frustrating when people don’t read the paper, I took this class again this year because I enjoy the challenge of writing something that will make students want to read The High Post.
