Ashley Beaken, In-depth Editor
Ashley has been a part of The High Post staff for three years. As an editor for the in-depth section, she is a senior this year. In her free time she works and also binge watches netflix. She also loves to attend concerts ranging from any different music styles, but her favorite musical artists is Taylor Swift. She enjoys writing and blogging, mainly just about day to day events. She plans to attend Saint Vincent next year, although she is unsure of her major. Her favorite quote is “Every morning we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better. Your past is your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part,” Although bad things happen in the past, we don’t have to dwell on it, or let that be who we become and always remember that change is good for you. Traveling is one of her favorite things to do because it’s always good to see different things you’ve never seen before, even if it's not far from home. There’s something nice about being somewhere where no one knows you or where you came from, so it’s nice to get away for a while, and of course, to share your experiences with other people through pictures and writing. The best part about being on The High Post staff is writing about what someone or everyone might already know, but being able to tell the story in a different way that makes someone actually want to read it and react to it.
