I’m a Latrobe High School Class of 2019 senior. The school subjects that I enjoy the most would be History, English, and Environmental Capstone. This coming school year, my main focuses are being an offensive player for the Girl’s Lacrosse team, a National Art Honor Society Member, and being Secretary of Kiwanis Key Club. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my two older sisters and close friends, listening to music, and creating art. As of now, I work as a lifeguard at Wimmerton pool. For my post-high school graduation plans, I plan to attend Marietta College in Ohio and play for their newly started Girls Lacrosse team. In the future after college, I hope to pursue a career working for an environmental nonprofit as either a community service manager or event planner. I hope to make a difference towards bettering the environment against pollution and other environmental concerns. I enjoy writing because it is a great way to spread awareness and change. As a writer for The Greater Latrobe High Post, I hope to convey topics and stories that the student population can relate to and learn from.

Art is a Rewarding Process

“I like that I can be creative, yet organized. I have one planner that is daily and for school assignments and the other is a calendar for club meetings and events. With college decision season, it has been hard to keep track of all my responsibilities. It is convenient for me to see what I still need to do and it’s satisfying to check things off once they are completed. I like to plan ahead and my planner helps me balance school and my life outside of it.”
