Arielle Teppert, Broadcast and Digital Media Director
Hi everyone! I am Arielle Teppert, a senior at Greater Latrobe Senior High School. I am ecstatic to be a first-year staff member at The High Post! Although I have worked with WCAT-TV for the past three years, our school’s news and announcements channel, I am eager to expand my writing capabilities. I believe that everyone has a story to be told. My job is to make sure their voices are heard in a proper and just manner. I am the Head Cheer Captain for the Greater Latrobe Varsity Cheerleading Squad, a participant in our school musicals, a titleholder for scholarship pageants, and a member of multiple clubs. In addition, I am a huge advocate for giving back to my community. Through my partnership with One Simple Wish, a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals to grant unique wishes to foster kids, I have raised over $6,000 for foster children in need! It is truly a great feeling to give back! In my free time, I love to shop, spend time with family and friends, and watch scary movies. My ultimate goal is to become a national news anchor. Through WCAT-TV, I have the ability to write my own scripts, design projects, edit segments, and gain on-camera experience as the news anchor and headline news reporter. Informing the student body about real news is my passion! This year I am wanting to leave my mark, to do that I am interning at LHTC Media! There I will be filming and interviewing students for the Wildcat Network! I will attend a university to major in broadcast journalism accompanied by a minor in political science. I want to help heal the political divide in our country by encouraging individuals to express their opinions while respecting the thoughts of others. With this strategy, I believe we can build a nation of respect and truth!
