The High Post

Johna Roche

Johna Roche, Assistant Editor

I am a senior at Greater Latrobe this year, and this is my first year being on The High Post Staff. I am very excited to be writing for the paper, and cannot wait to begin an incredible journey with Mrs. Stallings. In school, I am in National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Link Crew, and I play volleyball and basketball. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.  Throughout my years at Greater Latrobe, I have noticed all of the wonderful things that The High Post has accomplished, and I wanted to be a part of that. During my junior year, Mrs. Stallings recruited me to join her team during her study hall, and I decided to schedule it for the next school year. My passion for wanting to take her class grew even more after I got to work with Maddie Stas last year on an article she wrote about my family. I learned about what goes into an article, all the steps it takes, and the thought processes behind the draft before it finally gets to be displayed for the entire school. I finally get to be observing everything that goes on in the school, and tell a story about it. My goals for the staff this year are to make the paper even better than it was the previous year, which is going to be a very hard job. We have an amazing staff that is so diverse, and we will have someone to fulfill every part. My future plans include to hopefully attend Penn State and major in marketing management. I would like to take all that Mrs. Stallings is going to teach me this year and make it into a piece of my world that I will use every day.
