William Beddick, News Editor
Hello! My name is William Beddick and I am 15 years old. I am a Sophomore at Greater Latrobe Senior High School and this is my first year on The High Post staff. I found a love of writing at a young age with storytelling and poetry, but now it has blossomed into news writing and reporting for others. I am interested in Opinions, News, and Unsolved Cases around the area. I like the conspiracy in things and the stories that are slipped under the rug and not usually told. I have a younger brother and a bulldog named Moose! Hobbies of mine are reading novels, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and relaxing outside at night time with my family. My favorite school class this year is Advanced Placement (AP) United States History, because I love learning about the past in our country, and with Journalism the past and present are very important in our daily lives. I love being myself and sharing my life story with others and I cannot wait for this year where Mrs. Stallings will teach me the ropes of learning about others. I hope that as a future career I will become a journalist in NYC or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and work for a big company like New York Times or Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. I am also in my third year of Spanish this year and I love the culture and the language and plan on using my knowledge of Spanish to guide me across the world with Journalism and maybe even station myself in Spain and write for the people there. All in all, I cannot wait for this year’s publications, for the years to come where I will be a part of a new family, and for Mrs. Stallings to teach me the ropes and how to turn an idea into a story.
