Gabriella Roman

Gabriella Roman, Staff Writer

Gabriella Roman is a junior at Greater Latrobe Senior High School. She plays lacrosse and is a varsity letterwinner in wrestling. She has played lacrosse for four years, cheered for four years, and wrestled for one year. Outside of school, she also competes in cheerleading for the TGZ Panthers. Gabriella is an active member of the SADD Club, FCA, Interact Club, Key Club, and the Quill and Scroll Honor Society.

Alongside taking journalism for the first time this year, she has been involved in broadcasting throughout high school. She plans to major in broadcasting and journalism at West Virginia University after graduation. This past summer, she attended the WVU Media Camp, which solidified her decision to pursue WVU’s undergraduate program in broadcasting.

In 2025, Gabriella attended RMU’s DMAC Awards and won the 2025 DMAC Award of Excellence for school announcements. In broadcasting, she has produced numerous news packages and projects to inform people about sports, and she is taking journalism this year to further explore the writing side of her interests. Gabriella has always been passionate about and excelled in her Language Arts and History classes, and she loves to read. She is excited to start writing, particularly about sports and opinion pieces, and hopes to make a positive impact on The High Post
