As a community tradition, this event signals the start of fall. It is held at the Ligonier Diamond and all throughout the town of Ligonier.
Seven Springs Resort’s annual “Autumn Fest” takes place in early October as well. This festival takes place from October 4th to 19th this year. Filled with special menus, vendors, and fall activities, Seven Springs unexpectedly takes the stage with fall-related activities. There are plenty of fun events for younger children to do, including pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving, hay mazes, the Alpine slide, kids’ zones, and face painting.
In downtown Greensburg during the fall season, a farmers’ market is run. This event has many farm-fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, baked goods, and many other things to enjoy. The farmers’ market helps bring direct access to local farmers. This activity is great for exploring fall produce and vegetation.
In Stahlstown, the Flax Scutching Festival, which occurred September 20-21st, offers a glimpse into Pennsylvania’s past. Visitors watched linen-making demonstrations, enjoyed folk music, and even tried regional foods at this annual festival.
