Baseball:
On April 7, the Baseball team battled Kiski, coming out on top 7-6. On April 14 and 16, the team played a series against Franklin Regional, sweeping the Panthers with wins, 4-2 and 9-8.
Softball:
On April 7, the Softball team faced Armstrong, battling back to a 13-11 victory. On April 9, the girls suffered a tough loss to Penn Trafford, 2-4. The team celebrated their seniors on April 11, beating McKeesport 7-1. On April 14, the girls dominated Kiski, winning 9-1. On April 17, the team continued their winning ways, beating Gateway 10-0.
Boys Lacrosse:
On April 7, the Boys Lacrosse team defeated Indiana in five overtimes, 7-6. On April 10, the team suffered a tough loss to Franklin Regional, 4-8. The boys bounced back on April 15, beating GCC 18-2. On April 17, the boys faced Peters Township, falling to the Indians, 2-15.
Girls Lacrosse:
On April 7, the Girls Lacrosse team fell to Mount Lebanon, 1-15. On April 11, the team faced Moon and were unable to come away with a win, losing 2-17. On April 14, the team traveled to Peters Township, losing 2-16. The girls faced off against Armstrong on April 17, taking home a 7-1 victory over the Riverhawks.
Boys Volleyball:
On April 7, the Boys Volleyball team beat Armstrong, 3 sets to 2. On April 10, the team battled Penn Trafford and were able to come away with a 3-2 victory. On April 14, the boys travelled to Norwin and took down the Knights, 3-0. The team swept Franklin Regional on April 15. On April 16, the boys beat Thomas Jefferson, 3-1. With this win, setter Eric Bisignani secured his 1000th assist, becoming only the second Boys Volleyball player to accomplish this feat.
Boys Tennis:
On April 8, the Boys Tennis team fell to Norwin, 0-5. The team celebrated their seniors on April 14, beating Hempfield 4-1. On April 15, Blaise Bukovac and Eli McKeever fell to the Franklin Regional Doubles team in the Section Semifinals.
Boys Track and Field:
On April 11, the Boys Track and Field team competed in the Lady Spartan Invitational. Some highlights include: Preston Miller winning the 100-meter dash, tying the meet record of 10.99 seconds in the preliminaries and then breaking that mark with a 10.93 in the finals. He also won the 200 and was the lead-off runner in the winning 400 relay team that included A.J. Yeboah, Bryce Hoke and Adam Piper. Adam Piper also placed 2nd in the 100. On April 15, the boys defeated Derry, 88-48. Some highlights include: Preston Miller took home first place in the 100 and 200-meter, Charlie Heese won both the 1,600 and 3,200 meter, Adam Piper found success in the 400-meter, and Liam Wilson won the 800-meter.
Girls Track and Field:
On April 11, the Girls Track and Field team competed in the Lady Spartan Invitational. Some highlights include: Brylee Bodnar placed in the girls 300 300-meter hurdles, Liz Wilson placed second in the javelin, and the girls 4 by 800-meter relay of Maddie Petruzzi, Brynn Zangaro, Sarah LeVan, and Emerson Skatell placed 1st. On April 15, the girls beat Derry, 91-50. The Lady Wildcats claimed victory in 12 of the 17 events. Some highlights include: Mia Klasnic with multiple first-place finishes in the 100-meter, long jump, and triple jump, Brylee Bodnar took victory in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles, Sarah LeVan won the 800-meter, and Emerson Skatell found success in the 1,600-meter.
Girls Flag Football:
On April 13, the Girls Flag Football team beat Jeannette 28-0 and Penn Hills 20-13, and is currently 7-0.
