The crowd roars with excitement and grass flies up from under her cleats as Annalsye Bauer finds the net yet again! Sophomore girls soccer player Annalyse Bauer, takes the field by storm, as an energetic attacking midfielder.

Annalyse started playing at three years old and has loved it ever since. She is a key role and contributor to the success of the Lady Wildcats being a crucial offensive player.  She is even tied with senior Regan Reilly, for the leading scorer on the Latrobe girl’s soccer team, racking up 15 goals for the season.

She has also made many great bonds with her teammates and feels that is just as important as winning, “I love this team because we are so close and have so many great memories this season. I have so much fun getting to play with them every game,” says Annalyse.

Annalyse has been on travel soccer teams, Pittsburgh River Hounds, since she was ten. The dedication in time and drive to be on a travel team proves that she is an extremely committed and passionate player.

This sophomore standout has been recognized and asked to play in England over spring break with players worldwide. Her phenomenal work ethic and drive is a key piece in her success. This is a great opportunity to get a chance to play with some exceptional players at a very competitive level.  “This is such a great opportunity and I am so excited to get the chance to be a part of it!” says Annalyse.

Annalyse has traveled to many incredible places. ”The furthest I’ve traveled so far was to Tennessee for a showcase tournament and Maryland for a skills camp.” This year she plans on going to Florida and Texas for showcases and camps to get more exposure to solidify her future plans.

Annalyse wants to continue her soccer career in college and play at the best level she can. Although she is unsure of where her athletic career will take her, she knows that her copious amounts of hard work and dedication will pay off.
