Alex Walker is a playmaker on and off the ice. He balances being in highschool and taking college classes with playing in a junior hockey league. Walker began his journey playing hockey when he was eight years old. He has played for teams like Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Hockey, Pittsburgh Penguins Selects, and The Esmark Stars. He has played for Latrobe Hockey Club for 8 years. While playing for the school he also played for multiple travel teams, hoping to be recognized by a team to play at the next level. During his 2019-2020 season playing for the Esmark Stars 18u he was given the opportunity to sign a tender with The Wichita Falls Warriors. This tender means that the player is only to talk to the team he signed with. The player can only try out with said team. Walker traveled to Chicago, Illinois to try out for the Warriors. He then moved down to Wichita Falls, Texas for training camp. Throughout the next two weeks the team would cut around ten players. Walker made the team and is now number ten for the Warriors. The Warriors played in their first two games this past Saturday and Sunday. Although they lost, the team looks forward to their next game against Shreveport on November sixth.
