Giovanna Jones, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Hi! I’m Giovanna Jones, and I’m a senior this year. I am a 4-year member and captain of the Girls Volleyball Team while also managing the Boys Volleyball Team. I am involved in the Global Scholars Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honors Society, and National Honors Society in school. Outside of school, I work at a clothing store in Westmoreland Mall called Aerie. I am also the third grade catechism teacher at St. Vincent Basilica Parish. A fun fact about me is that I am a huge jokester and can always find something to laugh about, even in the most serious situations. My hobbies include reading, sketching, and watching lots of Netflix. I like to draw animated characters, especially from Disney. My favorite book is “The Shack,” and my favorite Netflix show is “Vampire Diaries.” Additionally, family is super important to me because I have been blessed with a very big one. I spend a lot of time babysitting my younger cousins and taking them swimming during the summer. They are my whole world and I don’t know where I would be without them. My parents have taught me how important a good work ethic is and that’s one aspect I hope to carry through my time on the High Post. Being a member of the High Post is a way for me to be a leader, explore my creative interests, and meet amazing people. In the future, I hope to attend college and major in Nursing. Following college, I aspire to become a Pediatric Oncology Nurse where I can travel, inspire the people around me, and positively impact the lives of many.
