Every year, my broadcasting and journalism classes attend Robert Morris University for the Digital Media Arts Contest (DMAC), a highly anticipated event where schools compete in various categories. One of the standout competitions is the live music video challenge, and this year, our broadcasting teacher, Mrs. Houck, proposed the idea of participating in this category. We were all excited about the prospect of competing, and within just two weeks, we had the entire video planned and produced.
Working alongside Tim Myers, Coco Tuscano, Violet Deist, Reece DiCasleo, and with JJ Amerose as the “star” of the show, we dove into the creative process with enthusiasm and determination. We took one afternoon in class to discuss and assign roles based on our strengths, which made the collaboration run smoothly. Everyone was eager to bring their unique skills to the table, and we quickly realized that our teamwork would be key to producing something truly special. Even though the timeline was tight, we embraced the challenge, and the excitement of working together on this project only made the experience even more rewarding.
