Baseball:
On March 24, the Baseball team lost to Penn-Trafford, 3-5, in the first game of a two-game series. The series continued on March 25, but the team was unable to come away with a win, losing 6-9. On March 29, the team found success, beating Hempfield 6-5. The boys started another two-game series against Penn Hills on March 31. The team took game one, defeating Penn Hills 15-0. The boys were able to sweep Penn Hills after a 20-1 win on April 1.
Softball:
On March 24, the Softball team fell to Connellsville, 8-10. The next day, March 25, the team beat Ligonier Valley, 11-3. The girls continued their dominance, taking down Mount Pleasant, 10-0. In their next game, on April 2, the team run-ruled Gateway, 15-0. On April 4, the Softball team suffered a tough loss, 3-4, against Franklin Regional.
Boys Lacrosse:
On March 24, the Boys Lacrosse team suffered a tough loss to Bethel Park, 5-11. The team bounced back, beating Norwin on March 28, 8-6. On April 1, the team notched another win, taking down Gateway 17-2. The boys fought hard against Chartiers Valley but couldn’t secure the win, falling 3-4.
Girls Lacrosse:
On March 24, the Girls Lacrosse team fell to Canon McMillan, 5-19. On March 26, the team faced another tough loss to Baldwin, 7-14. The team could not come away with a win on March 28, falling to Plum, 4-17. On March 31, the girls hosted Bethel Park but weren’t able to protect their home turf, losing 3-14. The team fought against Hempfield but ultimately fell short, losing 7-12 on April 2.
Boys Volleyball:
On March 24, the Boys Volleyball team swept Seton LaSalle, 3 sets to 0 sets. On March 28, the team opened section play, beating Norwin 3 sets to 0 sets. The boys continued their dominance, defeating Hempfield, who’s ranked second in AAA, 3 sets to 2 sets.
Boys Tennis:
On March 24, the Boys Tennis team beat Connellsville, 5-0. On March 26, the team continued their winning ways, taking down Plum, 3-2. On April 1, the boys tied Penn-Trafford, 2-2. Select members traveled to Franklin Regional to compete in section singles on April 2.
Boys Track and Field:
On March 27, the Boys Track and Field team opened their season with a dual meet at Norwin. The team fell to Norwin, 37-113, but beat Indiana, 81-68. On April 1, the boys lost to Hempfield, 45-105.
Girls Track and Field:
On March 27, the Girls Track and Field team traveled to Norwin to open their season with a dual meet. The team split the meet, defeating Indiana 94-52 and losing to Norwin, 30-120. On April 1, the girls fell to Hempfield, 52-88.
Girls Flag Football:
On March 30, the inaugural Girls Flag Football team opened its season on a high note. The team beat Burrell, 22-0, and Greensburg Salem, 42-12.
