Each year Eastern Westmoreland Career and Technology Center (EWCTC) hosts a Fashion Bash sponsored by National Technical Honor Society to raise money for senior scholarships. The event was held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at EWCTC from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The target participants for the Fashion Bash are local community women. The event hosts purse, make-up, and jewelry vendors for attendees. On average, the Fashion Bash raises approximately $5,000 which is given to senior students at EWCTC. Besides the vendors, everyone can participate in door prizes, manicure giveaways, Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle, and homemade food and desserts.
“This year we sold approximately 180 tickets, and we even sold out of ticket stubs for our raffles and Chinese auction! It was the most successful I could have ever imagined,” says Madison Ennis, president of National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
