Kylie Barry, Staff Writer

Kylie Barry, 12th grade, joined the High Post this school year. She transferred to Greater Latrobe in her 11th-grade year from Penn Trafford. This is her first year doing journalism, but she has always had an interest in it. She enjoys journalism because she’s always curious and wondering more about life and the future of our world. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, traveling, long drives, walking, reading, fashion, running, and spending time with friends and family. After school, she usually spends her time babysitting her nieces and nephew. This school year, she plans to branch out more and join some clubs. She also strives to do better in school. After graduation, she plans to attend college. Her ideal schools are IUP, FIT, and NYU. She intends to major in fashion. Her dream is to become a fashion designer. Her backup plan is to become a fashion journalist. She has been obsessed with fashion for as long as she can remember. She loves how fashion lets you express yourself in ways words can’t describe. Fashion is a way of seeing you when you’re most comfortable and feel the most like yourself. She likes keeping up with fashion trends. She also loves creating clothes for herself and others. Last year, she interned during a St. Vincent football game. She plans to get out there this year and take more internships and opportunities. She has a goal to say yes to more this year. She has two dogs. Both of her dogs are full-bred pit bulls. The oldest dog is 6 years old and her name is Luna Reign. The younger dog is 3 years old and her name is Bella Mae. After her birthday in February, she wants to get her own place with her dogs. She wants to move out to New York, after graduation, to ensure a better future and career in fashion.
