Ariana Climo, Staff Writer
Ariana Climo is currently a sophomore at Greater Latrobe Senior High. Ariana has always been into writing, but she really got into it in fifth grade. Ariana remembered that she had an English teacher who held a writing competition. The students would have a few prompts to pick from and she picked something that had to do with a genie. Ariana named it, “Ella the Genie,” after her youngest sister, since she was really into genies at the time. So, Ariana got to work on writing it, and she ended up winning the writing competition for the whole grade! It was definitely a life changer for her, and an accomplishment that she is still proud of till this day! Ariana ended up writing a sequel to it, but she never showed it to my class. Anyways, that’s how Ariana got into writing! She does want to eventually write a book, but she’s not too sure on what yet. Ariana eventually does want to go into some sort of art field, preferably one with graphic design/art direction. She either wants to do that or become a prosecutor or a judge. Ariana said how much she just hates seeing innocent people suffer while these monsters get to rome free, unaffected. Right now, Ariana currently has a dog and five cats. She’s not much of a cat person, but she still has to deal with their shenanigans and their cuteness. Her dog, Carmel, is very sweet, friendly, but she can also be very sassy. Despite that, she’s really easy to talk to/vent to, because she never says a word! Alongside her pets, she also has three sisters. Their names are Lillian (Lily), Adalina (Adi), and Ella. She lives with them, and her parents, here in cloudy Pennsylvania. This is her very first year of taking an actual journalism class, and she can’t wait to see how much progress she’ll make in the future! She hopes to expand on her communication skills, her confidence, and her writing ability with this course. She also hopes to meet new people, see new things, and witness new experiences! Ariana strives to be the best person that she can be. So, Ariana hopes that you will join her on this journey into becoming a member of the High-Post!
