Greater Latrobe Senior High School arranged a Flight 93 Memorial Ceremony on the
morning of September 11th in recognition and remembrance of the heroes of Flight 93. The
program was organized by the Greater Latrobe Senior High School U.S. History teachers and led
by social studies students and student first responders who honored the heroes of Flight 93 by
reading their names aloud, placing flags in the ground around the flagpole, and holding a
moment of silence. Students, teachers, staff, the GLSD School Resource Officer team, the City
of Latrobe Police Department, and the Unity Township Fire Department were all in attendance.
The Greater Latrobe Senior High School Cat's Cafe provided coffee to all of the first responders.
In addition, a flag bearing the Flight 93 heroes' names was displayed in the Commons inside the
high school, which was provided by Friends of Flight 93 volunteer ambassador, Dawna Bates.
