Wrapping Up the Best Years of My Life
After six years of racing it has all come to an end. The WPIAL race was my last cross country meet of my high school career. I took this to heart. Over the years, I have made so many amazing friends that I might otherwise not have met. We have all grown so close, these people are basically my second family. It has been a wild ride of emotions, but through it all we have made treasured memories that I will cherish forever. This sport has taught me to never give up even when things get tough. For me, it has been an uphill battle after peaking sophomore year and dealing with an injury until now. Regardless, I still continued to push myself and work hard everyday. Not only have my teammates been by my side, but my parents and Coach Simpson have watched every second of my journey as I have grown into who I am now. I could not be any happier that we were able to have a season, although Covid kept throwing new challenges our way till the end. One thing is for sure, this will definitely be a season I never forget. There have been laughs, tears, victories, and losses, but at the end of the day we were having fun making unforgettable memories.
