McKenna Skatell is finally a senior at Greater Latrobe Senior High. She decided to take journalism as it is something that has captured her interest in the last year, thinking she might want to pursue sports journalism or communications in the future. McKenna loves the ability of being able to tell a story through her writing, so she knew this was the class for her. At Greater Latrobe, she runs both cross country and track. Cross country being her personal favorite. At school, McKenna is also part of the Art National Honors Society, French National Honors Society, and National Honors Society. Some of her other passions include skiing with her dad, and her personal favorite, shopping. Target and Starbucks runs have become a fun addition to her daily life. McKenna loves fashion and for a while wanted to pursue a career in the field. This idea is still not out of the question. She would love to write for a fashion magazine if given the opportunity. McKenna is an outgoing and bubbly person, which reflects in her personality. She would not be the person she is today without her family. Her mom and dad are big supporters in everything that she does and her sister, Emerson, and her puppy, Nash, add joy to her life. McKenna’s dad got her into both running and skiing, which she could not be more grateful for. Along with these activities, comes music. My personal favorite is Taylor Swift. Overall, she is excited to start her journey in this class, hopefully coming out making a difference in the school and in the next chapter of her life.
