NHS Trip

Each year, the Greater Latrobe National Honor Society takes a trip to a big city. This year, they are headed to Chicago, Illinois. Planned by the NHS advisor, Mrs. Pompelia, this three-day trip is jam-packed with the best that Chicago has to offer. The NHS members leave for Chicago on Thursday, March 24, at 6 am and return in the early morning hours on Saturday, March 26. The itinerary is as follows:
March 24
6:00 AM: Leave for Chicago on a motor coach
2:30 PM: Arrival in “The Windy City”
2:45 PM: Tour of the Willis Tower Observatory and the Historic Navy Pier
5:00 PM: Dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
6:30 PM: Tour of the Art Institute
8:30 PM: Arrival at the Four Points by Sheraton
March 25
10:00 AM: Tour of the Chicago Mercantile and Board of Trade
11:20 AM: Visit to the John G. Shedd Aquarium
12:00 PM: Viewing of the Wild Reef Exhibit
1:00 PM: Oceanarium Show and Exhibits and the Polar Play Zone Exhibit Area
2:00 PM: Wendella River Architecture Cruise
4:30 PM: Dinner at Giordano’s Pizza
7:00 PM: Showing of the “Blue Man Group” at the Briar Street Theatre
10:30 PM: Arrival back at the hotel
March 26
9:00 AM: Service Project at the Burton House
11:00 AM: Tour of the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry
2:15 PM: Leave for Latrobe, PA, on motor coach
1:00 AM: Arrival in Good old Latrobe
