Hi! My name is Carlin Johns and I am a senior here at Greater Latrobe. As a student here, I am a member of Link Crew, Usher’s Club, Pep Club, Letterman’s Club and I also play volleyball and lacrosse. I have played both volleyball and lacrosse for 4 years. As far as lacrosse goes, I have played on the varsity team since my sophomore year and it is easily my favorite sport that I have ever participated in. Outside of school, I work at Robokyo Japanese Steak House as a waitress, I've worked there for 3 years already! A fun fact about me is that I have never gotten a nose bleed, trust me I know it is strange and hard to believe but it is true! This is my first year in the High Post and I am very excited to contribute to this hardworking team. Due to being involved in numerous sports, I plan to bring and report sports infused products to the High Post. I am very excited about my future as well. I plan to attend Ohio University to study Broadcast Journalism and by taking Multimedia Journalism II and a broadcast class I look forward to both classes equally helping me fulfill my dreams for the future. An inspiration of mine would have to be Hannah Mears. She is a graduate of Greater Latrobe and is currently studying the same major that I plan to study. The amount of opportunities and internships she has received from the Penn State program already is incredible. I hope to interview and shadow her to see what her days consist of. By being apart of the High Post, I hope to learn more about Journalism to prepare me for my future endeavors!
