Brooke Sheffield, In-depth editor
Brooke Sheffield is the In-depth editor for the High Post. She’s currently a senior and the 2016-2017 school year will be her third year on staff. Always taking advantage of the opportunities she’s given, she has been able to write interesting stories and improve her writing and communication skills over the years. She enjoys writing opinions, in-depth and news stories most. Her favorite part about The High Post though is the experiences she gets to have with her staff-members, who over the last three years have become her best friends. In her free time she loves to hike, explore and take photos of nature. Living in Pennsylvania she’s lucky to have such beautiful scenery around her like Linn Run State Park where she spends a lot of time. She also loves cooking and is a plant-based vegan for ethical, environmental, and health reasons. She feels very passionately about equality among everyone and will always stand up for what she believes in even though most of the time people would describe her as “chill.” Unsure exactly what she wants to do after high school, Brooke knows she wants to do something that will help others and improve the world whether it’s big or small. She looks forward to the future and can’t wait to see how this year on the High Post will impact her and those around her. “Never believe that a few caring people can’t change the world.
