Zoey Favata, Staff Writer
Zoey Favata is a senior in her first year on the Greater Latrobe High Post staff. Zoey is also apart of the yearbook staff, along with her fourth year in broadcasting. Zoey represents these courses by being apart of Quill and Scroll and Media Now. Zoey has won multiple awards at DMAC for her own content in broadcasting. Zoey has also produced her media through the morning announcements as well as “The Voices of Legacy”. Along with school activities, Zoey is an active member of the Environmental Club. She is becoming a generational leader, by working with the club to stop the use of styrofoam in the cafeteria. She spends quality time outside of school as well. Zoey is entering her 4th year on the Greater Latrobe Varsity cheerleading team, and is one of the captains of the squad. Zoey has cheered for 13 years and is a 4 year letterman. In her free time, she likes to spend time outside and connect with nature. She enjoys hiking, biking, photography and going on new adventures with her friends. She is also very interested in fashion and loves to shop. After high school, her goal is to major in communications and minor in journalism. Her dream is to capture the crowd and write her own stories and be able to report on them. Zoey joined journalism to develop life long skills and to tie in her creative ideas to the course. Zoey has always had a passion for writing stories and is excited to take her writing to the next level. She also hopes to use her experience from the WCAT-TV studio into journalism. She wants to capture and report her own stories, and help keep the student body unified through her work. “Everyone has a voice and everyone has a story, my goal is to capture it all.”
