Hello! I’m Jake Warner, I am a junior this year at Greater Latrobe and I could not be more excited to be apart of the High Post team and share stories with my peers. I first got interested in journalism when my sister Kelsey gave me an explanation of what it is like to be a News Reporter. I was instantly intrigued and could not wait to learn more. I am a part of the lacrosse team here at Latrobe as well a part of the Ski Club. I look forward to lacrosse season more and more every year. I love the diversity of the sport and the friendships I have built with through the team. Snowboarding has always been a great way of spending time with my friends and getting to see the amazing world around us. Every winter my friends and I take a trip out West to experience the amazing resorts they have. You can almost always find me spending time with my friends, either going out to eat or just hanging out we are always doing something. I am very excited to be apart of the staff this year and be a part of making an impact on my school. I would really like to focus on reporting on the sports that happen throughout our school year. I have a serious interest in sports journalism and cannot wait to report on all the amazingly talented athletes we have at Latrobe Highschool. I am also intrigued by the process at which the staff uses to create the paper and distribute it out to the students. My relationships with my peers and the school around me are very important to me and I cannot wait to improve that. I know this role, as well as the year itself, is going to be important so I cannot wait!
