“Our first win of the season over Hempfield was achieved through a combination of factors that the team has worked on this season. The first concept is that every player has the confidence to contribute hard work and effort, no matter how many or how few times they are asked to step on the field during a game. All players are pushed to perform at game speed in practice drills which makes it easier for team members to make correct decisions during game play. The second concept is that the team can only score goals by playing the ball into the scoring circle. Even though this concept was achieved, we had less chances than our opponent. However, the team took those chances and converted more of them into goals, which is the ultimate achievement in any game…to score more goals,” said Coach Beetle.
