With the Christmas season approaching, Starbucks fans are preparing for the seasonal drink line to shift from spicy autumn to campfire-cozy Christmas. With the fall drinks arriving in August, the drinks focused on pumpkin, cinnamon, apple, pecan, and caramel tastes to prepare for the fall. Keeping these menu items limited edition creates suspense and anticipation for the release and extra business during this time of the year. After talking to Maddie Slater, a current senior and Starbucks employee, shared what to expect from Starbucks this holiday season.
What are the new drinks that dropped on November 7th?
There is the Cranberry orange refresher, which you can do with lemonade, water, or coconut milk. This drink is sweet, tangy, and everything you’d need to freshen up your palette that contains real cranberries.
There is also the iced gingerbread oat milk chai, a rich blend of oat milk and black tea infused with cinnamon and warming spices and topped with a sprinkle of spice topping.
The peppermint mocha consists of the classic bold espresso with bittersweet mocha sauce peppermint syrup and steamed milk topped with whipped cream and red festive sprinkles.
The white peppermint mocha is a similar concept as the regular peppermint mocha but they substitute the mocha sauce for a white mocha sauce.
A caramel brûlée latte is caramel sauce emulsified with espresso and hot milk.
The sugar cookie almond milk latte features sugar cookie-flavored syrup and Starbucks’ blonde espresso, almond milk, and ice. The drink is topped with red and green cookie sprinkles, and can also be ordered hot or with oat milk instead.
The chestnut praline consists of steamed milk, espresso, and chestnut praline syrup.
Finally, the salted pecan crunch cold brew features Starbucks Blonde Espresso and oat milk combined with notes of pecan, brown butter, and holiday baking spices. It is finished with a pecan crunch topping. Cold foam can be added to any of these flavors and tastes.
After one and a half years working at Starbucks, Maddie has some recommendations. If you are a newer customer, she suggests trying the sugar cookie almond milk latte because it has a simpler yet delicious flavor. She also recommends the caramel cookie latte. It is sweet and cozy perfect for setting the Christmas mood. Overall, the Christmas flavors this season are sure to bring in extra business and fuel the festivities this holiday season.
