On October 14, the Greater Latrobe Girls Field hockey team celebrated the three graduating seniors, McKenna Brackney, Samara Pedicone, and Amelia Stynchula.

Allyson Merchant, Editor
Allyson Merchant is a senior at Greater Latrobe Senior High School during the 2025-2026 school year. This is her second year on the High Post staff, but this year she returns as an Editor. Allyson is a part of the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team at her school as well as her club team, Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club. Ally loves to write about different people and events. She likes to meet new people and learn about their stories. She’s most excited to help create a positive, uplifting environment for the rest of the High Post staff. Allyson enjoys being behind the camera and capturing different moments. She also likes to work behind the scenes of the online website and the print layout. Allyson is an honor roll student currently attending Pitt at Greensburg for dual enrollment. She’s hoping to continue a career in journalism at a four-year college. Allyson is excited to meet new people and make the most out of her last year at Greater Latrobe.
Nina Scalise, Editor
Nina Scalise is a Junior in her second year as a High Post staff member. She has been a part of the WCAT-TV broadcasting studio since her freshman year. While this is Nina’s second year on staff, this year she returns as an Editor. Nina likes to write sports stories and take photos of the sports teams, which allowed her to travel to the DMAC awards at RMU to win an award. She is a varsity letterman for the Latrobe girls’ field hockey team and the Latrobe girls’ lacrosse team. Last season, Nina was awarded Athlete of the Week for the Latrobe Bulletin and was an Honorable Mention for the WPIAL all-section. Nina is an active member of the Interact Club and Key Club. She is also a member of the Spanish National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll Honor Society. Nina is looking forward to this school year and taking on new roles in journalism.
