Every October Greater Latrobe athletes and their supporters don pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pinktober has been a long-standing tradition with the month’s purpose being to bring attention to the importance of screening for and early awareness of breast cancer.

Runner, Sarah LeVan said, “The Cross Country team wears pink along with many other sports teams, so it’s nice to come together with everybody and participate in something for a good cause.”(Sarah LeVan)The Girls’ Soccer team supports Breast Cancer Awareness with pink warm-ups and pink pre-wrap to match. Midfielder, Emerson Shine said, “We’re supporting all the women who are breast cancer survivors and the women who are going through treatment. Our goal is to bring awareness to the cause.”(Aiden Stairs)The Girls’ Volleyball team also sports pink warm-ups to raise awareness for breast cancer.
