Hi, I am Isabella Depetris or Izzy for short, I am a Senior at Greater Latrobe High School. I transferred at the beginning of my junior year from Hempfield Area High School. At Hempfield I was part of the Hempfield Royal staff which was Hempfield’s high school newspaper, as a reporter. I am excited to be a part of the Latrobe High Post staff. I joined journalism because I enjoy being in the know, and I am very passionate about letting peoples’ opinions be known. I specialized in writing features and news articles last year. However, I am flexible with the areas that I cover. Outside of school I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, writing stories, reading, boating, water skiing, and baking. Fellow students or staff might see me bringing in homemade baked goods or treats. I like to see people smile when they taste my baked goods or when they tell me, “Oh these are good you should sell them.” I love when people tell me to sell my baked goods because I plan to start a small baking business alongside joining the business community. I plan to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). I am currently leaning towards getting a business degree and joining the business field after college. Once I get into the work force I plan to work in the business field for ten to fifteen years. After I have worked in the business field I plan to open my own Bakery called "Bells' Baked Goods" or "Bells' Bakery". Ideally the bakery would be located in Pittsburgh or another city. I hope I can open it in Pittsburgh in the future so that I can still stay close to family. Overall, I am happy to be a part of the Latrobe High Post staff.
