General Dynamics Mission Systems Pittsburgh made a donation to the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education
Foundation through their Community Investment Program. This generous contribution was designated to
support the launch of the Project Lead the Way Flight and Space elective at the Greater Latrobe Junior High
School. The donation will allow students to become engineers as they design, prototype, and test models to
learn about the science of flight and what it takes to travel to and live in space. Students will be challenged to
solve real-world aviation and space challenges, and plan a mission to Mars. “Thank you to General Dynamics
Mission Systems Pittsburgh for their invaluable support in advancing STEM education and igniting the
imaginations of our students,” stated Flight and Space teacher Mr. AJ Haberkorn.
