Eyes of the World #2

Eyes of the World #2

Twin Lakes Park, February 19, 2012.

As we wind down the road of consistence and conformity, I have to laugh because we don’t stay on it long. This is not surprising, as we belong in nature we know.  Every perfectly aligned brick shows the orthodoxy that we have become.  Why should we, as the people, choose to walk upon it rather than where we belong?   The guiding fences who guard the black watery mirrors prevent us from seeing and believing the truth behind our true beings.  If we could learn to look through the many reflections of the rippling blacks of the eyes and into the souls of every other being, we would learn.   Externally we may conform, hiding behind the mask of branches that cover our identities, yet internally we are not the same, each one of our thoughts, beliefs, and ideas are so unique.  If everyone could learn to look beyond, we could become an incredibly aware and wise race.  One can only wish so much.

“And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold

And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll”
