Goal Cats
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” ~ Charles R. Swindoll
Life is a series of events that happen because either you make them happen or they happen to you. The events that you make happen are the ones we want to happen. They are known, readily seen and easy to deal with. Though, the events or things that happen to you are a different story. Life can throw anything at you at any time. It is easy when you feel in control and have a rut that allows you to travel smoothly along the way. Life becomes more challenging when you’re thrown off track. The way you react is more important than the thing that actually occurred. Deaths in the family, break ups or divorces, injuries, and much more are very impactful and sometimes life changing. Like previously mentioned in another Goal Cat, you have a choice. You have a choice with your reaction. You can back down, give up, and feel sorry for yourself. Or, you can move past it, work through it not around it. Breakups and divorces take emotional healing and can be stressful and hurt for a long time, but that shouldn’t stop you from finding love. Injuries should only delay greatness, not cancel it. Deaths can be seemingly impossible to move on from, but if you stop functioning after a passing you’re only letting your own life slip away.. Life will always be there to knock you down, but YOU get to choose to get back up.
