Black Friday Shopping!

Black+Friday+Shopping%21

It’s that time of year again! For most, this time of year involves back to back family filled holidays. However, there are a  few brave souls each year who decide to take on the madness called Black Friday. Some of them are vowed veterans to the event and others are fearful first-timers who hope to share in the excitement. Several students share what they usually do, or plan to do on Black Friday.

Elly Hu: A month ahead of time I plan out where I’m going. In past years it’s been the Grove City Outlets, New York, Canada, and New Jersey. This year we’re going to DC and shopping for twelve whole hours! It’s my favorite day of the year—better than my birthday!

Brittney Gaia: Normally I go to Pittsburgh’s Ross Park Mall and leave at three in the morning and stay until it closes.

Adam Kniffen: I get up super early, go to the mall, and shop ‘til I drop.

Drew Eline: This is my third Black Friday working, but my first one working retail. This year I have to be there at 4 am. The lines tend to be out the door and it’s super crazy.

Audrie Kuntz: I wake up at 4:30 a.m. and head out to Ross Park Mall.

Nick Gruss: I went and bought TVs last year on Black Friday.

Allyson Wisyanski: I usually go to the mall at 4:00 a.m. and shop around.

Nina Wickham: Well I never went really early. My mom and I went to Walmart at 5:00 a.m. last year and got a huge TV.

Jessica Kissel: The first time I ever went was last year. I picked Mickey Orange up at 4:00 a.m. and we got breakfast at Sheetz. By the time we got to the mall, all the hardcore were gone, so there was almost no one. This year I want crazy time!

Lindsay Ferguson: Last year I went and I talked for ten minutes to a mannequin that I thought was my sister. She was wearing the same outfit and it was three in the morning!
