On Thursday, October 15, 2020 the Latrobe boys cross country team brought home the second place plaque from the Westmoreland County Cross Country Championship meet that took place at the Westmoreland County Community College. The boys missed the big win by one point with a score of 48-49 to Greensburg Salem. Unfortunately, the previous week, the boys lost their section meet to Greensburg Salem. This took away their chance to tie the section with Greensburg. The boys were very much hoping to take a win at the county meet, but again missed the mark. Although this time the score was much closer. Drew Kozuch, Dante Frescura, Joseph Hill, Matthew McCreery, David An, Koen Fulton, and Justin Carlson rounded out the top seven. The boys were successful as all seven of them came in the top 24 earning them a bright, neon medalist t-shirt. The top five boys finished in the top 20, earning them some hardwear, a medal. At the end of the day, the boys were happy with the win after many years of not being in the running. Their hard work was not yet over, as the boys headed to Tri-states and then on to WPIALS in the next weeks.
