September 30 – October 5, 2019
Mario Battaglia
Senior Mario Battaglia competed in the WPIAL individual finals at Fox Chapel Golf Club on Tuesday, October 1st. Mario finished 12th in the WPIAL to qualify for the PIAA Western Finals at Tom’s Run on October 14th. He shot a 5-over-par 76 on a very difficult course. Mario had to make par on the last three holes and did, sinking par putts of about 12 feet on each of his final two holes. Mario led the Cats to consecutive section titles, having the lowest individual average on the team this season.
