Latrobe Baseball Update

The Wildcat baseball team fell to 1-5 on the young season after squandering a three-run lead against the visiting Norwin Knights on Friday and losing by a score of 13-8.  Though the Cats belted out 13 hits, their defense let them down with five errors.  Leading Latrobe at the plate was Jason Stewart, who went 4-for-4 with a triple and double and three runs scored.  Tyler Heydorn, Josh Shoemaker and Ryan Bisi also contributed with two hits each.  Taking the loss for the Wildcats was Matt Shoemaker, who pitched one inning of relief and gave up five runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks.  Luke Zamiskie started the game and pitched five innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on just three hits but allowed nine walks.
